This video is creepy for more than one reason.

The boots
The ice cream
The fact that she’s flirting with every male
The people singing the chorus
Her goo-goo eyes
How clean the streets are in her part of Manhattan. I’ve been there, no way!
The fact that we’ve both wasted 3 minutes of our lives watching it.

That video is bizarre and the song is insipid. The ice cream part looked like a mistake they didn't have enough money to fix.

My bet is that Carly Simon is one of those incredibly emotionally needy people that can't stand when the attention isn't on her all the time.
